Best Western Laval-Montreal

Clean, well looked after, good location, fair price, comfy bed, friendly staff, decent pool, okay breakfast. Still, this is a middle of the pack type hotel so don’t expect glassware in your room, high end decor and finishes or fancy bath robes. If that’s what you’re after then keep walking.

It's the best Best Western that I have been to. Nice property. Good breakfast included. Nice spacious rooms. Nice pool. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Clean rooms. Would definitely come here again.

Overall hotel was great. Room was very clean, breakfast was nice and staff was friendly. Pool was superb for a relaxing moment.

We stayed for 3 nights over the long weekend in May. Our room was on the first floor, which is below ground level. Many rooms on this floor have windows that look out towards the pool and breakfast areas, but some rooms have no windows at all. From the rooms near the breakfast area, you can hear staff prepping for breakfast at 4:00 a.m. Admittedly it was an odd layout, but aside from the early morning noise it really wasn't as bad as some of the reviews make it sound. Our room was small, but clean. The rooms cannot accommodate a cot, so plan to share beds if you're traveling with 3 or more people. There is a mini fridge, coffee maker, and hairdryer in the room. There is no microwave. It was no problem to get extra towels, blankets, and garbage bags. Breakfast is what you'd expect with a free Best Western breakfast. Coffee was fantastic. There is bread / bagels, pastries, home fries, scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon or sausage, French toast or mini waffles, cereal, yogurt, and fruit. It is served between 6-9 on weekdays, and 7-10 on weekends. Pool is on the small side, but it's heated and the kids had fun in there. There are plenty of pool towels to go around. We traveled here from Ontario with a boys soccer team. This hotel is popular for tournaments. The unfortunate thing is that there are no spaces to gather when you're traveling with multiple people. We tried to sit in a couple different areas with couches, but most of these areas are too close to the rooms. Fortunately we had a very understanding and accommodating front desk staff who, on the second night, was able to open an area for us and provided us with plates and garbage bags so that we could order in and eat together. Alcohol is not permitted in public spaces and there was a security guard there who was probably a little over zealous in his investigations into the content of our cups. My partner and I do not drink, and the security guard approached me three times to inspect my sparkling water. Overall, we had a good experience at this hotel. Unfortunately, our experience in Quebec was not a positive one and we will not be returning, but that is no fault of the hotel.

This is an absolutely great and unique hotel !. The staff was exceptional, would love to go back with my family. The breakfast was delicious! The rooms were very clean and the air quality is great, it smells fresh wherever you are. The beds and pillows are really comfortable. When you book a room with a balcony, it feels like you are on a terrassein another country, it is so cozy and cute. Love the fact that there are alot of plants everywhere. Don't forget to bring flip flops and a robe (they are not provided). The restaurant and bar was closed during the week we went but it was very easy to order from restaurants nearby as the hotel is in a great location.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I visited downtown Montreal and wanted somewhere nearby priced well, free parking, pool and free breakfast. This had all those items. The staff was very pleasant and the hotel itself is very clean. I would definitely stay here again.

I don’t usually leave reviews for hotels because there isn’t usually anything exceptional to mention , but this time I feel compelled . From the moment we arrived ( Aug.5 /25) we felt surprisingly welcome . We vacation in Quebec every summer , staying at various hotels around the province . As English speaking folks we often feel — not the most welcome , but this check in was different. The lady working the front desk is exceptional !!!!! She absolutely made our day. Every hotel should have an employee like her . We’ve only been here a few hours and are already extremely pleased - the pool is great , the room is very nice and clean , climate control is just perfect - can be as cool or as warm as you like. Lobby , hallways and rooms are immaculate and modern. Can’t say anything about the breakfast that is included yet , but the breakfast room looks great as well ! 5 stars all the way around.

We found the staff to very accommodating and friendly. Hotel was clean and very quiet. Breakfast was hot, fresh and replenished very quickly if something was near empty. The bar area is not available as I was informed they do not have a liquor licence. We were not informed of this on the website which was a bit disappointing as some of my other family members went to bed early it was a great spot to gather for a late night beverage. This needs to be added to your website so guests know ahead of time. Not a deal breaker by any means. I would recommend this place to anyone and especially young families. The pool was wonderful with a towel service which helped a lot.
